The activity of ASA Construction Ltd. can be divided into four main categories: production of precast reinforced concrete structures, assembly of reinforced concrete structures, general contracting and industrial floor execution.

Structural Engineering

We push our projects through from the very start of the investment through the design and execution up to the commissioning. From the early design stages we focus on the best possible solutions to save you time and money.

Infrastructure

We produce and store precast reinforced concrete structures in our own 6.7 ha plant in Hódmezővásárhely. The plant has a capacity of 30,000 m³/year and a further 15,000 m³/year ready-mixed concrete production capacity marketed to clients in Hódmezővásárhely and its surroundings.

Industrial Floor Construction

Ready-mix Concrete

ASA Construction Ltd. produces ready-mixed concrete materials in its own plant in Hódmezővásárhely. Our company can employ the professional know-how of concrete technology pertaining to the precast concrete structures also for the production of ready-mixed concrete. Our daily capacity amounts to 400 m³/day, which naturally depends on Client needs.

Advantages of Reinforced Concrete

Humanity uses concrete for millennia, e.g. the breath-taking dome of the Roman Pantheon was made of a special concrete proving very well the wide ranging employment possibilities of this construction material, as well as the plentiful amount of experiences with a historical past.

In 1867 Monier patented his famous reinforced concrete jardinière making way for a soar of reinforced concrete that lasts up to the present days. A result of such evolution is that by 2006 the newly constructed concrete amount per person was more than 1 m³, winning thus the prize of the most used construction material.

Reinforced concrete structures exhibit the following advantageous features:

  • safe, suitable to take up heavy loads
  • resistant, durable, corrosion-proof
  • considerable variability, possibility to service wide-ranging architectural demands
  • compatibility with all construction materials
  • economical, low maintenance costs
  • even as long as 60-120 minutes fire-resistance without extra protection
  • good sound-, water- and vibration insulation qualities
  • environment friendly, natural raw materials
  • modern design, production and construction procedures
  • abundant experience

Concrete evolved continuously, new additives and admixtures were tested, we got to understand the force game of reinforced concrete, design procedures were improved and the production method also underwent serious changes. Beside the traditional concrete casting on site (so-called cast-in-situ) there was an increasing demand for precasting under factory conditions, thus we can manufacture our prestressed structures under better controlled circumstances, we deliver them to the construction site and assemble them as pieces of a puzzle.

Precast reinforced concrete structures have the following advantages compared to the traditional construction method:

  • shorter construction times (reduced to half of the time required by the cast-in-situ method)
  • assembly-like construction, independent of weather conditions up to temperatures of even -20 °C
  • higher strength, more slender, but also more durable products
  • large spans possible (>30 m in building construction, >40 m in bridge construction)
  • simple, "dry" nod construction
  • skilled labour force working in the entire production and construction chain
  • more rigorous quality controlling possibilities
  • designable, optimal material consumption, less waste
  • re-usable mould and concrete casting elements
  • environment-friendly production procedure and construction methods

The evolution of the reinforced concrete construction material continues to be unbroken. The future might belong to the fibre reinforced, ultra high performance or even self-compacting concrete. We do our best to take over and bring to perfection these novelties, respectively to participate in development projects.
